This is my very first Crossbow and originally I was going to decide to purchase an Excalibur but the salesman at Dicks Sporting Goods mentioned I had to see the Horton Vision 175 ahead of creating my Choice. Becoming a woman weight and balance had been an concern for me since most Crossbows are truly front end heavy. Which tends to make you wobble a great deal more on your shot. The vision is well balanced an you could truly hold it with one particular hand and shoot if you had to. When I shot it at the indoor range in the store the only point I heard was the arrow hitting the target. Extremely Quiet. The width of the bow is also particularly compact and painless to carry. You won't be banging it about like you would other bows. I was sold and came residence with a single.
My husband who was pretty sceptical about a crossbow genuinely liked the look and feel of it when I brought it home. I took it out to shoot and sight it in I began at 20 yards and zeroed it in. I then moved the target out in ten yard increments all the way to 50 yards and it was still dead on. I picture it would have shot farther if I would have tried but I'm not going to even take a 50 yard shot with it so there was no point. The scope is really good as well! it will illuminate Green, Red or Plain black. My husband was so impressed we bought a second Horton Vision 175.
Made IN THE USA in KENT,OHIO. A word about Horton Consumer service. We accidentally dry fired one. DO NOT EVER DO THAT! Like I mentioned it was an accident. Well it busted the key string, bent the left cam and GOd knows what else that my eyes could not tell. I took it to the store exactly where I purchased it. They shipped it to Horton. Horton Relpaced every thing on the bow except the aluminum Rail and scope at NO CHARGE! that is ideal new limbs strings cams and even a new stock cost-free of charge. They even paid all the shipping to the factory and back to the store. Horton has won our loyality and our home business for life!

A single issue I have learned prior to obtaining this crossbow.... no matter what crossbow you look at, you will uncover a negative rating on the internet somewhere. The Vision 175 is the most effective balanced and most functional crossbow. It is rather compact as soon as "armed" (not making use of the other word). The reverse limb design is amazing, a lot of folks see it and it just looks mean. It is not the fastest shooting crossbow on the market, but it should not be all about FPS anyway. A lot of manufacturers lie about their FPS just to get a sale. This bow is solid, correct, and deadly. Out of the box, I hit a 3" pattern at 50 yards. Yes, 50 yards on the low crosshair (there are five in the scope). Keep your string waxed and your rail lubed, and this will final forever. Beneficial luck.
